It’s a Long Story
Made with four different domestic species of wood, "It's A Long Story" is a book matching experiment. Book matching is a process of resawing lumber in half than flipping it open like a book. Creating two nearly identical pieces of wood. This process is visible through every piece in the cabinet.
Made as a commission this cabinet was designed to hold books or records in its highly figured Ash door panels, Black Walnut frame, and legs, Curly Red Maple interior panels and, Hard Maple top.
